Don't Give Up
In life, we often face challenges that can certainly feel overwhelming. You may think that your only option is to back up or opt-out.
Beloved, this is when we need to hold on to our faith, trust God, and fulfill what the Word God calls us to do: persevere and lean into our faith in these very moments.
In Galatians 6:9, we read, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
This word is first a reminder to know what good work we need to do for the Lord and recognize that our efforts offer eternal results. We find in Scripture that God promises a reward for those who remain steadfast.
Remember, Job faced unbelievable loss and suffering, but he never turned from the Lord.
Yes, Job mourned and questioned his circumstances but never surrendered his faith.
Yes, through all that he experienced, God restored Job and blessed him with more than he ever had.
The story of Job should encourage us not to give up, for it’s through perseverance that we experience so much more from God.
Today, your circumstances may make you feel like throwing a pity party. But may we remember and rest in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Friend, take a deep breath and receive the strength God offers you today, trusting that it will carry you through the most challenging times of your life.
Remember, hold onto hope, and don’t give up as you commit to trusting God, no matter your circumstances. You can do this because somebody is praying for you today.
